They're the fighting robots doo doo doo doo...
7.25 pages from a 22 page story.
Y'know. This cover reminded me. Reddy usually always gets torn apart in JLA stories since they can put him back together. So it's amusing to finally have a mini that let's him be the hero without getting wrecked to show the enemies are dangerous.
Spinning out of last issue Torpedo and Tornado save the military folks Volcano endangered to make his getaway. Tornado then re-activates Inferno who's now more willing to listen to Tornado's side of what's going on. Alas I had to cut a bunch of stuff, this issue had a lot of fun insights into the families abilities and quirks.
Meanwhile Vixen has been getting informed something weird is going on...
Okay. That's just pretty/cute.
Meanwhile we see the big fella, Volcano at his underground staging area.
Dun dun dun! Thankfully DC would never kill a child for shock value.
They go to where a huge rock like dome was formed and Inferno explains that Volcano said he's working with the hotspots of the area somehow, moving tectonic plates. Said efforts are apparently boosting Volcano's abilities but Inferno leaves out one little detail Tornado would probably have liked to know about the tunnel...
With Inferno of course pointing out that until a few minutes ago he thought Tornado and Torpedo killed his family, thus his reluctance with telling them.
Vixen manages to get back to her house just before an apparent earthquake.
...wait. How'd you get there before Tornado? ...Afterburners? :0
And just moments later Tornado arrives only to find he doesn't see his daughter (with neither he nor Kathy knowing she was rescued by Inferno)
What'll happen in our next hopefully not earth shattering story? Stay tuned!

Date: 2011-11-16 03:14 am (UTC)Seems like an OK thing to say though I guess sort of awkward to not just straight up say they were his parents, I don't think Tornado's trying to stress they weren't his actual parents. (Though it did bug me it was never made clear what the deal was with Seth and his parents. Was their ever an actual human Seth? Etc...)
