1. How do you know that? The Batman changed Jokers origin (in the most pointless and disrespectful way possible) and despite huge succes of that movie almost no one ever talks about that origin and instead, even non comic fans use "no origin" or "just random gangster".
2.Why should being well known changing something, just because it is not so known? Are you saying Joker should stop having white skin with green hair and just be normal guy with make up and scars? Or that Steel should be like in the movie? And that Superman should have unprotected sex and act like emo loser? Since when "well known" means better?

Also I happen to be a fan of z superman returns. The"unprotected sex was based on the original superman movies where surprise, he sleeps with Lois. I honestly don't think he had condoms in his suit.
