am confused about one thing though. I'm sure this has been asked already, but does anyone know if this is meant to be the first incarnation of the Teen Titans? Or is Nightwing, Starfire, Flamebird, Beast Boy, etc still considered the first incarnation of the group?

Well it's been implied (and Lobdell has stated) there HAVE been other incarnations of the teen titans (though they might be more like the animated Young Justice team in that they might have been covert)

Tim even says in issue #2 "This may be the shortest incarnation of the teen titans ever" so yeah its safe to say this is just the newest group
