This universe IS strong enough to survive such a concept.

This was posted before on one of the earlier S_D incarnations, but it's worth a revisit. Because it's vintage crack. And the crack is so good, its that special one that tastes like the fruit punch you grew up on as a kid.

I think that I read an interview with Mark Hammil where he apparently asked George Lucas if Vader actually WAS Dr Doom the first time he saw the costume.

I always love how... GLEEFUL Doom is in these comics. It's almost Dr Insano levels of enjoyment in being a supervillain there.

And the most important aspect of them all ...

- DOOM HAS A LIGHTSABER!!!
