I dunno, a big muscley guy wearing pink who cries if you dunk him in a swamp--I liked how Gary Frank drew him, that's it. I prefer the more inhuman iterations of the character, so I find this intriguing too. I wonder if Grant is going to integrate some of what he had in EARTH 2 with this guy.

Heh. Michael Rosenbaum was Lex twice. In Smallville and as the Flash in Lex Luthor's body in one episode of JLU. He was so evil he didn't wash his hands.

Yeah, the fact that Michael Rosenbaum was the JLU Flash, who got bodyswapped with JLU-verse Lex was pretty much what I consider ironically awesome (I rather like irony... I'd like to think that if Kon ever went to a convention and cosplayed, he'd go as Mr. Spock or Gohan from DBZ or some other fandom's human/alien hybrid hero dude, for example). Especially since those are pretty much my two favorite versions of Lex Luthor (given the choice, early to mid seasons Smallville Lex is pretty much my headcanon, though). Though I am beginning to become somewhat fond of this one.

Given that one of my favorite things about Superman: The Animated Series was that version of Brainiac, I'm rather liking the DCnu's take on him.

Though after reading what happens after...wow, Brainiac, dick move...dick move.

I'm not sure Lex's problem is so much the attack itself as the fact that Brainiac (who is ohmyfrigginggoddesscreepy) played him like a goddamned fiddle in the leadup to it.

Hey, if Jaime Reyes is having his Blue Beetle starting all over, following the exactm same trends as well (discovering scarab powers/parents relation to his superhero life/reach invasion), why can't other DCnU character rehash their storyline as well?

Of course, I know that, but with New Krypton so recent, which had a gritty redesigned Brainiac acting like a big badass vilain....and now yet another redesigned Brainiac acting like a big badass vilain, introduced in rebooted comics, it makes you wonder if we won't see the whole New Krypton arc all over again....

(that, plus like I said, various of the rebooted comics are simply starting over the very same storylines. Ex.: Blue Beetle!)

I usually like Lex, but a sentence like "one alien appears, and suddenly there are ten" has nauseating RL subtext.
