Date: 2012-01-04 07:23 pm (UTC)This art works quite well for Laura, who I'd assume would be blank faced a lot of the time, but not so much for the other characters, in the book.
X-23 has been quite enjoyable, though I didn't like how Liu wrote Julian, and dismissed him so summarily. Still, it's a shame to see it go, and a bigger shame to see Laura dumped in some second rate teen team book.

i actually, and many mebers here, enjoy AA. the writer is able to tell a story with a team book and pretty much give equal time and developement to all the characters.

But the whole thing stank to me of, 'I don't like this relationship, and I don't like this character being associated with Laura, so I'm going to end it'.
Of course, I'll out myself as a big hypocrite and say I'm hoping beyond hope that she does the same with Gambit and Rogue in Astonishing, and kills Romy dead, finally. It's about time Gambit got to be more like the fun character he once was.

Date: 2012-01-04 08:05 pm (UTC)His death was faked in Fear Itself. The injuries were real, but he just about pulled through, and Natasha convinced Nick Fury to take the opportunity to help Bucky 'disappear', and get away from being hounded by the Russian and American govts.
They were last seen heading out of town on Bucky's motorbike at the end of Captain America & Bucky 624.
