Today I am proud to give you the greatest crossover of all time as well as a touching story of perseverance, unity and victory. Not a Dream! Not a Hoax! Not an Imaginary Story! This issue Charlie Brown finally kicks the football...with Spiderman's help!!!

Victory shall be claimed and the Omniverse will never be the same, dear comrades.



It may sound hard to believe but this epic crossover was truly done by Schulz and the first John Romita. Somewhere, deep within myself, my inner child is shedding some Manly Tears of Joy. Finally all is right in the jungle.

I gotta say, I probably wished for the very same thing every day of my pre-adolescent youth. And I once played Charlie Brown in a school play, too, so this seems extra-awesome!

Just a few years (three?) before Schulz's death, he decided that he was finally going to give Charlie Brown that big moment he was always denied.

And he got to finally hit that walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to win the game.

It was beautiful. I admit that manly tears flowed that day.

I hate to break it to you, but in no way is that really Charles Schulz's art. Not sure who it is, but it's not even a good 'ghost' work.
It would have been awesome if it really happened though.

I understand what you say. I took these strips out of the book called "The Romita Legacy" where John Sr. mentioned that those strips were an alliance with Charles Schulz, so I probably accidentally thought that Schulz had a hand on this epic crossover. There's still a chance that it was Romita duplicating Schulz' art or this Burkley guy.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, but it was just WAY TOO APPARENT that the pencil and ink works were not authentic. Schulz was/is a very favorite of mine. I have a peculiar knack for recognizing his art.

To this day, I could have sworn, Charlie Brown kicked the ball one time when snoopy made him invisible doing a magic trick...

To tell you the truth, I seem to remember a Charlie Brown episode where he finally gets to dance with the Red Haired Girl after failing to win a football game. Part of me believes that Charlie Brown also had a chance to have a rematch with Lucy to kick the football and emerged victorious.

That was the special "It's Magic, Charlie Brown" and he ALMOST did it but the spell wore off while he was running and Lucy still pulled the ball away at the last moment.
