This issue begins the arc that John Byrne said he decided to greatly modify and cut short because the most recent Doctor Who season finale was too similar to his original plan. Since then, on his forum, he's been regularly taking bitter potshots at Who showrunner Steven Moffat and his work. It's hilarious.

The guy has made several good contributions to comics over the years, but... the success he has had has kind of inflated his opinion of himself, somewhat, leading to some unpleasant behaviour when interacting with fans online.

For example, he time several years ago when, in a discussion about rape in comics, a poster on his forum brought up how his mother had been raped once, causing Byrne to accuse him of making the event up just to win an argument.

I do get that he's kind of cranky and embittered about his relationships with folks at the big two, and I wish he'd bury his hatchet with marvel as I really miss his artwork..but

I like that the dinosaurs are fluffy. You don't see too many attempts at scientific accuracy on that one.
