Not gonna lie, I only bought this for one reason (X-Men Legacy #264)

So, the issue starts us with Sam and Rogue flying about, and we get a nifty callback to a later day issue of Generation X when Sam points out that nobody likes it when someone borrows their powers and uses them better.

Then Mimic and Weapon Omega show up. Seems Omega's powers are on the fritz, and he's become addicted to absorbing mutant energy. Cue fight scene and Weapon Omega running around the grounds.

Meanwhile...





Okay, my only real complaint about this issue is how Anole was drawn. Is that... hair? Does no one use model sheets anymore?

This is essentially Rogue's book. I realized that a few issues back. (I've been reading it because it's the only place I can get my Rachel fix outside of Wolverine and the X-men.)

When I was flipping through this in the store I literally had to stop myself from snorting out loud at Rockslide's question about his "junk". But you know, he can break apart and reform himself however he wants and out of different materials so I guess if he wanted to he could MAKE himself some new junk and okay, I'm going to stop thinking about this now.

On another note, it's nice to see Chamber doing something again. Hi, Jono! *waves* Although, I did laugh hearing him talking about love since Jono is like the master of sabotaging his own relationships.

Last thing, what is the name of the gooey skeleton student? I can never remember his name.

He's not teaching a class so much as he's being a sounding board for younger kids with similar problems, and you can do that at pretty much any age you like.

On the other hand, the X-men aren't particularly heavy on members who have had to deal with "radically different than normal human appearance," issues. Hence "spandex prom kings and queens." Beast might be able to handle a class like this, but he's also on at least one of the field teams, plus the Avengers, plus whatever research he's doing at any given moment, plus whatever other classes he teaches (and possibly still serving as Agent Brand's conscience/sex-toy, whatever happened with that).

Not yet, although most named character who was depowered is now repowered (or a vampire) - or oh wait, they hadn't been depowered after all, I guess. AvX may deal with it, since it's going to address Hope's status as a messiah - or not.

I know he was fleetingly in Age of X, but I was still half worried they'd skim over the deliberate effort by Mike Carey to make him cool again. But, yay, this is a fab little cameo appearance.
