Deadshot - part 4 of 5
Jul. 22nd, 2012 05:36 pm After the neighbourhood is partially demolished following a fight between Deadshot and a superhuman associate of his who wanted to take over the newly cleaned up area for himself (DS got around him being bulletproof by shooting him in the mouth, eyes, groin and knees, before dropping a building on him via explosives), Floyd is sulking at Michelle's house.

After this he goes and finds Green Arrow, who, just as promised, is making time to patrol the Triangle more. DS tells him that he might be leaving soon, and tells Ollie to keep an eye on the place, which he promises too, "no matter what".
Floyd then goes and finds the corrupt cop who approached him earlier, but refused to get involved in the kidnapping. DS mentions that he heard that the cop tried to cover for him after he killed his partner, and wants to know why that was. The policeman says that whether he likes the way he did it or not, he's definitely improved things in the neighbourhood. Lawton asks if he'd help to keep things that way if he was to leave, and the cop agrees to, asking if this means that Floyd is leaving. This gets a "Could be."
The safety of the area now taken out of his hands, Floyd returns to Michelle and asks her if she wants to make a go of it with him. Which she does.
Meanwhile, the heads of the local gangs (rather the head of two of the gangs and the new head of the Russian mob) meet to try and work out how to get rid of DS. This not being Gotham circa The Dark Knight, they end up turning to a guy who bought his outfit online whose main grudge with DS is that he threatened to kill him after accidentally mocking his parenting skills...
