Oddly enough considering my learned friend angelophile's post below, the same plotline was on my mind, but I prefer a single moment, rather than a crowning moment of awesome.



The Faerie of Otherworld have launched a vicious attack upon thr UK, and MI-13 led by Pete Wisdom are assigned to lead the counterattack. His team includes Captisn Midlands, John the Skrull, and Tink, sort of a Faeirie in exile from Otherworld.



I love the sheer mundane practicality of his instructions.

SPOILERZ: Pete has to marry Tink in order to ensure peace between Britain and Arcadia. Whilst he's getting romantically involved with a redheaded psychic.

I love that he has a power point. Especially the NO CAKE part.

I really liked the art on the first half of the series. The second half didn't do much for me. They completely changed Pete's look.

I'm not a fan of Hairsine's Pete either, to be honest, but the stockier Wisdom later in the series isn't recognizably Wisdom, I agree. But the splash page of the naked Pete later in this issue made me blink rather. Pete seemed to have developed some buffness instead of being a lean drink of water. Leonard Kirk in CB&MI13 definitely nailed his look better, imho.

I think any attempt at making Wisdom a natty dresser was missing the point. In the Ellis Excalibur run it's specifically noted that his entire wardrobe consists of a dozen black suits, white shirts and black overcoats which are all identical, because it makes getting dressed less confusing, and he's really not bothered about his appearance.
