From the remarkable Black Orchid mini-series from Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean, comes this defining moment.
This is from the finale of the series, as Black Orchid finally decides she has had enough of being pursued by the goons of Lex Luthor
Throughout the series, it has been made clear that Black Orchid is not a standard sueperhero, even her more superheroic predecessor/self (She sort of regenerates when she dies... it's complicated) she worked quietly, in the shadows, but even Batman admired her for it. This new Black Orchid doesn't want to be a superhero, she just wants she and her sisters (who are still growing and will take years to mature to adulthood) to be left alone.
And so, in the Amazonian jungle, she issues her ultimatum

This is a kady you do NOT want to mess with, and you can just tell that she didn't even raise her voice.
