DYING WISH PRELUDE
The end of Spider-Man’s world begins when Doctor Octopus discovers who Peter Parker really is.


For those who are counting, this marks the third time that Doctor Octopus has found out Spider-Man's "secret identity"; he first found out in "Web of Death", then he confronted Spider-Man during the events of Civil War after he outed himself. Fourth if you count the time that he unmasked Spider-Man but deduced that Peter was a fraud.

Regardless, it turns out we're in for another "final Doctor Octopus story". I can only hope that by the end he's restored to his mushroom haircut glory.

That's freaking ridiculous. I get that with Norman Osborn having been co-opted into a larger scale Marvel U villain they're pushing Doc Ock as Spidey's nemesis, but a hundred issues of "I'm totally going to die soon" is ridiculous.
I just want him to go ahead and die so that in a few years when someone finally pries Spider-Man from Dan Slott's cold, dead hands we can all move on.
