Depends on your definition of "canon," given these are all possible futures following from a specific point in time when Archie decides who to marry.

Some things are the same, some are similar, and others very different. While this may happen in one, it isn't guaranteed to in the other, though Kevin and Clay were married in both.

Fair enough. Although this is way darker than anything I ever expected to see in any Archie comic, even the more "grown up" one this is.

In fairness, it seems like the story structure of Life with Archie hasn't been patterned on traditional Archie Comics, but on melodramatic soap operas such as All My Children, As the World Turns, or General Hospital. (I'm not an old soap viewer so if someone wants to nominate a more appropriate comparison, no worries.) If they're staying true to the soap model, Kevin's husband won't be killed but, as auggie18 suggests, put in a wheelchair so that the idyllically happy couple have to cope with new trials.

Oh, hello!
I'd be raging right now but then this guy's a doctor, right? ): It happens a lot in those dramas where doctors get targeted when their patients die and the family/close ones get angry. Maybe it's that.

Either way, hope he doesn't die. I don't follow the comics but it's the principle of the thing.
