Wade was trying to die, so he arranged to get rid of his healing factor. But once he no longer had it (and with a speech from Bob) he felt like living. Which is of course hard now that he no longer has his healing factor and everyone wants to kill him.

Apparently his cancer went with his healing factor and thus he became pretty? I dunno.
