The team are talking about ghost stories from their pasts, and Abe Sapien brings this one up from the days when it was primarily him and Hellboy having to take care of random supernatural junk, before the Lovecraftian frog people started to hog the scene.
They were up in Canada, where some local police had called them in to investigate some weird sightings around a long abandoned house on the edge of a town, of a big, fast moving white shape. HB identifies some gloop on the ground as being vomit, which appears to be most of a small deer. He asks about the house the Thing has been lurking around...

The only alternative that the BPRD have avaliable is to lock up Daryl so that he doesn't eventually eat anyone/pass on the curse to someone else, which naturely isn't something he takes well. To try and take the edge off of it though, HB gives him a photograph of him and his family so that he'd have something to help him remember who he used to be, and hopefully prevent the eventually degeneration into mindless monster which normally happens to Wendigos.
Don't worry though, Daryl does get free of the curse... eventually.

Date: 2012-09-24 06:40 am (UTC)I love this stuff in BRPD. I kinda miss that we don't get to see much of it as-of Hell on Earth.
