Oh right, wasn't this the epilogue issue to Batman: Fugitive? I didn't know this was from Grayson. I'm pleasantly surprised. Intellectually, I'm sure she's bound to have done at least some good stuff at some point, but since it was my first exposure to her, when I think of her work I think of her horrible attempt at a new love interest at best pinning down and aggressively dry-humping Nightwing that somehow magically wasn't rape.
I hold firm to my view that when it comes to the character vignette, a moment between a couple of characters that doesn't need to have long term repercussions, Devin Grayson can, at times, be one of the best in the business.
When it comes to longer stories and plotting, especially anything involving relationships and/or characters she's fond of, it can get... somewhere between hilarious and painful, sometimes at the same time.
This is a good issue. My one puzzlement about it is the way it ends with a shot of Bruce's parents' graves. There was nothing else in the story about that, but I guess this was in the era where we needed to be reminded that Batman's parents were dead at least once an issue.
