Keith Giffen's new DC outer space series, Threshold, launched this week. Each issue will feature two ongoing stories: One is "The Hunted," a RUNNING MAN/HUNGER GAMES sort of deal set in Lady Styx's territory. The other is "Larfleeze."

Larfleeze's autobiography:

He's interrupted from his dictation when his ring picks up a news broadcast about the existence of a second Orange Lantern (person, not power battery). He is not pleased.

I still love that the orange lantern symbol resembles a little fat rodent with stubby legs.

Not for long though, this is pretty much how every Donkey Kong Country game begins, And we know how they end.

For a more relevant reference. This is like if Scrooge McDuck got called away on a bogus treasure hunt and came back to find out someone had cleaned out his money bin.

So yeah, Ass kickings are pending.

The journey should be a fun one, though.

Indeed. Just like a Donkey Kong Country Game or an episode of Duck Tales.

I so want Larfleeze to recreate the steamboat scene from life and times of scrooge McDuck.

Giffen's Larfleeze reads like a cross between Bender and Zapp Brannigan to me.

Which worked out because his scribe read a lot like Kif in that scene.

Needless to say, I loved it.

I wonder if the Doctor knows Larfleeze took the Tardis.

Also looks like he's got Metron's chair.

I like to think Larfleeze got an actual police box, and is terribly disappointed it doesn't work as advertised...

Now I got this hilarious image of the Doctor going out for some ice cream, then coming back to find four cement blocks where the TARDIS used to be.

Doctor: What?

*Larfleeze comes back*: You know what? I think I'll just keep the Cement blocks. *Flies off with them.*

Doctor: What?

*Larfleezes comes back again.*: And that ice cream. *Steals the Doctors Ice Cream.*

Doctor: .....What?

Hey, maybe its the Doctor who stole Larfleezes stuff To get back at him.

The Tardis is bigger on the inside, so it's possible the Doctor could have shoved everything into it and vanished. It would be a fun, if unlikely, twist.
