The end of the Spot's Reign

scans_dailyOnce upon a time The Spot was this supervillain who defeated Spider-Man (well, for one issue anyway), and instead of quitting while he was ahead he tried to defeat him again:
We start with The Spot discovering new things about his powers:
I'm not sure he's even been seen as a human again since this. Oh, and for a geeky-looking scientist he's pretty well built!
Anyway, he decides to fight the web-crawler one more time to prove himself:
And I'm a sucker for his out of nowhere attacks:
But things don't work out very well:
This was a neat three-parter; unfortunately after this The Spot became a running joke, why I don't know since his powers and design always struck me as pretty good.
