The only part of Roberts' comments I'd take issue with is his description of Judge Dredd as "humourless". Dredd's sense of humour is as dry as Antarctica (and has about as much warmth), but it's there. He's what TV Tropes would describe as a Deadpan Snarker (no link, because I'm sure some of you have stuff that you want to do today).
