Did you miss where I said that you can reconcile how the games work? Since this is a reboot it is possible for events in the other games to still have (or more appropriate, will take) taken place, with the obvious tweaks and retcons. That is if in a future sequel Ninja Theory decides to acknowledge that some version of the events of these games happened in a way that it works and fits. If they don't fine. They can do as they feel, even though I hope they do acknowledge the other games. Except Devil May Cry 2.
