Does anyone else get a sort of insincere vibe from Captain K'rot? I mean, it's nice that they'd acknowledge Captain Carrot, but he's a very obvious Rocket Raccoon stand-in, and he doesn't look to have anything to do with the original character. It's just like, tying him to the original/real Captain Carrot just feels like they're trying for any shred of name recognition.
I do like the Larfleeze backup though, and Caul seems like a cool character, even if I do get the feeling that I'm going to spend this entire series wanting to see him actually use his ring. Didn't care for Stealth's kills early on in the issue, it was just a bit to gory for what I was expecting. And it's weird that there are so damn many humans.
Still, not bad, I'll probably keep picking up issues of this for a while at least.

I'm not particularly familiar with Marvel's Star Wars comics, but it feels like someone wanted a stand-in for Jaxxon in the DC Universe.

Both are bunny sapiens, but there actually BEING a DC character called "Captain Carrot", tells me that any resemblance to Jaxxon is completely incidental.
