When was this made? I only ask because up you said Golden Age and while I can see that the cartooning in this seems way too good. The character look amazing and my god the story flows really well.

comics.org lists this series as being from 1952, so still pretty much in the Golden Age.

I'm pretty sure it was unintentional, but they did a pretty good job of making Minnie sympathetic. You can really feel for her. Go Minnie!

I think her being a little sympathetic was intentional, but I don't know how much. She's certainly the victim of a number of sexist tropes, but at the same time she doesn't appear to even entertain the idea that Professor Frubish. I mean, she gets the date by sitting on top of him and refusing to move. She reminds me for too much of a Nice Guy (tm)
