She's probably never had her ass slapped by a man before (What with growing up without any males at all), and is rather surprised that anyone would do such a thing, never mind a man.

That being said her punching Orion's lights out should have come faster than a sonic boom.

I dunno. Diana has always been a class act. She has a sharp edge, to be sure, but self control is one of her hallmarks.

Can't say I'm a fan of the writer putting her in this position though... Then again, it gets a genuine reaction out of me, so maybe it's the sign of a deft hand.

I agree. The old Diana would be flustered for all of one second by the butt-slap, and slowly turn to Orion and deliver a coldly and carefully worded threat about detaching his hand from his person the next time he tries that.
