Guess this makes sense with Lois popping up in the superboy book in the future. With this it makes Clark look like a giant dick for not letting Lois in on his secret after this.
Didn't they already at least hint that Luthor was the other parent? Like, I seem to recall some scans on here where Connor's handlers were talking about how he was all cunning and wasn't great at empathy. Nothing definite, but it seemed pretty obvious.
Plus, while I'm sure the story will cover it if it turns out to be true, what possible reason could someone have for combining Superman and Lois Lane's DNA? She's just some reporter, at least Lex Luthor is the pinnacle of human cunning and ingenuity, so there's some logic behind using his DNA.
I just think that if Lois and Clark are gonna have a kid I'd rather it be Chris Kent.
IIRC It's sort of vague, Superboy walks past a burning house and doesn't attempt to help getting the people inside out because he's talking to Rose Wilson. The reasons suggested as to how someone with Superman's DNAdoesn't are either that he's somehow aware he's in a VR environment and no lives were in danger, or else his other parent donor must be one of the worst psychopaths in human history.
And if Lex still has his pre-DCnU fixation on Lois as "The woman that turned him down", then raising her "son" might give him a creepy feeling of control.

I was never a fan of New Krypton, it altered the power balance too much, so it could never remain as part of the standard model of the DCU.
The fact they were ALL militantly warlike was also a bit off, and that they were removed from the plot through a human committed act of genocide was a cop-out.
Diana: Wait, so rather than him being a clone of you, he's technically the son of you and that woman you've been fawning over for the past decade or so? I don't mind, it just makes things a little awkward is all. Clark: Don't worry Diana, Conner's existance won't impact on us in any way. Lois: But what about me? Clark: No one cares about you Lois. Lois: :(
It's not that weird. Just think of it as having a kid from a previous marriage, or an accident. Also, I just noticed the subtleties in your joke. That's funny.
I sort of quickly glanced at the caption on the right as I went to the comments, and for a moment I mistakenly read it as "The son of Lois Lane is Superman?!?" Which would have been a whole new layer of WTF for newDC shenanigans!
Although it might have been worth it to see the timey whimey plot convolutions that would have to result for that particular story to come to pass. Would certainly outdo the Amy Pond having a crush on her future son in law scenario!
The last episode of Lois and Clark comes to mind. Lois and Clark find a baby they are told is biologically theirs. The show ended due to Teri Hatcher's real life pregnancy, IIRC.

On the other hand, I also miss Chris, he was fun.
