Mmmm....trippy cover. Not super confident of a happy ending after that single-line solicit, though.

Plus, something that really weirded me out from Batman Inc #7 - Red Robin's motorcycle:




I wondered why Burnham had to go with such a bizarre cycle design. Not unpleasant, but different, like from that one Artemis Fowl quote (which I still believe is the pattern for writing accurate Damian dialogue, barring certain character developments).

I couldn't find the proper word to describe that design, until I found this in a (mostly) random Google Image Search:



Turns out the word was retroactive. Holy crap, Batman.

I don't know if Burnham or Morrison was behind that, but one of these day's I'm going to re-read Morrison's entire Batman run and pick out
all the hidden references for kicks.

If a mini-Batman does not leap off of Batman's chest, I will be sorely disappointed.

Oh my god, I didn't even see the TINY Batman on Mini-Batman. So there must be a Tiny Batman launching off a Mini-Batman who just launched off a regular sized Batman!

And honestly, with Morrison, it wouldn't entirely surprise me if it actually happened.

Sure why not? Superman once had a mini-Superman that came out of his fingers.

Next up a mini-Wonder Woman emerges from Wonder Woman's knee.

Somehow, some way, they really should have figured out how to make this animated on a variant cover. Even I would pay big bucks for a comics that did that and I don't collect Batman at all.

I didn't know they were killing BatInc. Why are they killing a book this time?

And will the concept remain in the other books?

It was supposed to end at #12, but decided to extend it one more issue.

As for why they're ending it, I suppose because it's basically Morrison's story - I don't think any follow-up writer could give it the same weight it did when he leaves the title.
