So, after a few weeks doing the post-college Europe thing, I'm back and I brought the random!



What? Batman, crazy? The dude who dresses up as a bat to punch people in the face because of mommy issues? No way!



Huh. Everyone hates time travel except Beast. That makes recent events somewhat more understandable.

The only even vaguely good things involved with AvX were the things making fun of it. (This issue and the Baby one.)

There is definitely body-paint with zippers.

I don't mean painted zippers, Shulkie's paintjob looks to have an actual one.

They take the zipper slider and pull tab off the teeth and glue it in place.

In She-hulk's situation, the hardest part would be getting the collar to blend with the rest of the paint. I'm sure it could be done, but you'd probably have to put the collar in place and then apply paint to both the body and collar until it had a thick enough layer that the colours matched.

In that case, you wouldn't remove the slider entirely from the teeth, you'd just get rid of everything below the teeth.

I think that's an odd thing to complain about, what with all the ludicrous unwieldy cleavage-and-thigh-baring super-hero outfits. Jen is wearing a rather conservative pant suit that is clearly not skin tight - check out the way it drapes and folds fall off her leg - and she's extremely large, so it would be tight around her shoulders and calf muscles, realistically. I think it looks fine and is completely appropriate.

I did wonder if anyone would point that out. ^_^ Yep, the "Ø" is not part of the Swedish alphabet. It's part of the Norwegian/Danish one. Then again, maybe in the Marvel-verse Sweden has the same alphabet as Denmark and Norway? (Well, the Marvel version of the Norse gods are not much like their mythological counterparts, so maybe other things about Scandinavia is different too!)

There's always something profoundly disturbing when a character's speech balloon is laughter and the artist doesn't draw them visibly laughing. A very specific kind of cognitive dissonance. Especially when it's particularly loud laughter of the "HAHAHA" kind.

The lack of speech marks just makes it worse, as if it's only a small excerpt from a never-ending stream of diabolical laughter emanating from some sort of sadistic dimensional goblin lodged inside Carol's throat that finds any and all events in her life hysterically funny.

...

Excuse me, I've just had a marvellous idea for a short story. Let me just get a pen and paper.
