Some news on my new graphic novel LULU Book 1! Robb Orr of Comics Forge interviewed me on it in depth, and you can read that here!
Another will be coming soon from Deconstructing Comics.
You won't find it in stores; I tried but none of them want to take a risk on an indie publication. Their loss. So you'll find it only at Createspace and Amazon. (also Amazon UK, as well as Germany--the work's home country in fact--and France)With an introduction by none other than Martin Pasko.
Here's a page for legality.
Oh, by the way, you can also read glowing things Jamie Delano and Steve Pugh had to say about it here.

For many years, a friend of mine worked at the comic shop that first took at chance on Dave Sim's work. She used to take great glee in cranking up music he hated at the store every time he walked in.

That's all I need, to pay myself for copies they have no incentive to sell that will be in worn condition if I end up having to take them back. That's a sucker's deal, for people who are only doing it as a hobby.
To be honest, the whole experience has me very down on comics stores. I didn't like being treated like some kid who doesn't "get" how the business works. No, I'm just an indie artist without any desire to do sci-fi, superheroes or horror. Their complete resistance to something a bit different(you'd think the fact there's nudity might have piqued their interest, but it's tasteful and there's no rape, so I guess not) was very surprising. Not what I remember stores being like not so long ago.
I'm of the opinion now that comics stores are mostly just interested in servicing the genre addicts (and the big three) and not interested in even taking five copies of something a bit different to introduce their customers to. Which is too bad, because when I had books in Zanadu, they sold out very swiftly.
