Nah, that paralysis was fixed years ago. Bullseye's screwed up this time because the Hand resurrected him after Demon!Matt killed him, but apparently Matt killed him SO HARD that not even Hand resurrection mojo could repair his body.
Welllllll he has a healing factor which probably got ramped up as he was being resurrected.
Bullseye, however, was only moving after the American Eagle attack because of government nanites in his body, so once he was killed they probably shorted out and wouldn't work again after he was brought back. Perhaps the death-resurrection did even worse damage, if they weren't removed.
NO-PRIZES! Mwa ha ha ha.
As a side note, I'd feel sorry for Lady Bullseye if she weren't so fanatically dedicated to caring for the guy. Having to open up that giant sweat-filled Iron Lung to change his bedpan and tube-feed him must be strenuous on the ol' nostrils.
I love the idea of that visual, but it didn't click for me, because Matt would have been able to hear whatever the guy was saying even long after the doors had closed and the elevator had started going down.
It would have worked perfectly with another character, but not Daredevil.
I'd have been interested if they'd gone the other way and had the guy say something threatening while retaining his pleasant, mild-mannered facade. That sort of cognitive dissonance would really drive home how paranoid poor Matt is getting.
I totally want a miniseries focused on just this guy. I mean, he's amazing! "Lawrence Benson," weedy little dude who can stonewall Matt's super-senses, turn on the intimidation when he feels like it, and ninjaport out of a moving elevator before Matt can chase him down. Is he, like, a Hand specialist in corporate infiltration? A Skrull? Does he freelance for anyone who needs an ominous and unexpected threat delivered to a superperson?
It was said in 27 that he lost all his senses except his sense of sight. Which is kind of fitting for Daredevil's arch-enemy. Odd to see Bullseye so sane though.
Bullseye is not a messy psycho, he's a meticulous one, and as said, here his only outlet for what he likes to do is thought. Many of us have plotted fairly detailed revenge against people who've wronged us at times, though we (I'm assuming) have never DONE it.
Now take that, apply it to Bullseye here. Planning is aiming. He's aiming and striking in its purest form, for him.
Of course, Bullseye also isn't as smart as he thinks he is.
1. Texting. Does he have a special phone where he can he feel the screen? If so, is that a real thing?
2. Words on paper. I remember Ben Urich pulled an "I know your secret ID" bit on him once based on his inability to read a newspaper. How can he see/read Foggy's notepad?
I'm not sure about the first question, but as for the second, he can read handwriting by feeling the paper with his hands. He presumably does that off-panel here.
This series is really the comic-book equivalent of "Hannibal" at the moment...incredibly beautiful visuals, intricate storylines, creative villains and cute moments of semi-homoerotic romance.
(Oh come on, I can't be the only one whose mind went there after Foggy started referring to Matt as "Matty")
