I just had to share this. It's rare to get a gaming webcomic that's haunting and kind of beautiful. In fact, usually it's the opposite, and the gaming comic is based around making fun of what doesn't work in a game. But Zac Gorman has managed to take the best bits of some classic games and find new depth in them. There are the occasional spoofs as well, but I'm going to focus mostly on the more heartfelt stuff.
First off, everyone knows Mario, right? An interesting read on the true meaning of Mario:

Gorman's favourite subjects, though, are Legend of Zelda and Earthbound. His Earthbound strips have this youthful defiance and sense of fun to them. This one is fairly representative, but they're all good.

His Zelda strips are usually more about the nature of heroism and a feeling of adventure. This is probably my favourite (although he does a really excellent retelling of the beginning of A Link To The Past).

Magical Game Time can be found here. He put out his first book, so grab that if you can.
