It took me fucking forever to realize BOTH Bruce and Ollie were punching that guy. Its especially confusing because you never see Bruce's face.

Yeah, I assumed they were punching each other at first too.

I think they're kind of punching each other by proxy.

I think punching is a proxy for something else also.

You almost have to feel sorry for Killer Moth just getting the shit punched out of him like it was nothing. :D

I liked this issue, I would have preferred to see Killer Moth in his costume, because if you're gonna dig that amazing bastard out of the mothballs (yes) you might as well give him his ludicrous costume, but overall this was pretty fun.

One thing I've got to say about the series in general though, is that I've been following it since Lemire took over and this was honestly the first issue were Olle felt anything but utterly generic. He's just seemed like such a boring, standard issue hero for most of the series that getting to see him all grungy and weird was about a thousand times more interesting than he's been from the start.

I'd say that goes for most characters. I much prefer the scrappy Zero Year Batman and Blue Jeans Superman to their modern way counterparts.

Ollie has a beard which magnify his punching power by x2.

Really nice of him and Bruce double teaming here.

Not a fan of the pointless beating they are giving Killer Moth here.

Not really pointless; he attacked a shelter of innocent people, beat up Batman and Diggle, then tried to kidnap Ollie's mother. Frankly, he's lucky all he's getting is a beating.

Well, that and an arrow through the hand which, realistically, would probably be debilitating.

So this just occurred to me, but didn't the previous writer on Green Arrow establish that Oliver Queen was already playing at being a superhero aboard his family's oil rig when he got stranded on the island? Because if that's the case, and Ollie just got back from the island, with this being Batman's debut, that means that in the New 52 Green Arrow was a superhero before Batman or Superman. Which is hilarious, because there's no way DC intended that.
