THOR #136: When Jane met Keith

Jane Foster has failed her attempt to become an immortal. Odin sends her back to Earth, but decides not to be a jerk about it.
Jane and Keith would fall in love, get married, have a son named Jimmy, and divorce. Keith Kincaid shows up from time to time, with people noting "Hey, you look a lot like Don Blake." They keep changing to what degree Don Blake is his own man and not Thor in a mortal body with American speech patterns. (I've heard the original plan for CIVIL WAR was Thor to have Don Blake's mind.)
When fans learned Chris O'Dowd was going to be in THOR: THE DARK WORLD and have scenes with Natalie Portman, they thought he would play Keith Kincaid. The like has happened before. Fans thought Kate Mara would play Bethany Cabe in IRON MAN 2 and Stephanie Szostak would be Janet Van Dyne in IRON MAN 3. I wonder if there are any actors appearing in CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLIDER who will NOT be playing established characters?

Date: 2014-01-03 07:12 pm (UTC)* Superman's origin originally had him coming from a planet of, well, supermen. Every Kryptonian on Krypton could do the things he does. Gradually, this changed to Kryptonians being normal on Krypton and becoming super on Earth.
* Batman's origin originally had his parents both shot. By the time of the Joe Chill reveal, this was changed to his father being shot and his mother dying of shock. There was also the reveal that the Wayne murders were a hit rather than a random crime.
