suddenly has something as whacky as Alfred's soul taking refuge inside a cat? Maybe.
Though I really can't because I'm too occupied being relieved that they didn't just kill off Alfred unceremoniously for shock-value.

You know considering that IIRC in this bad future Damian ended up making a deal with a devil. I'd be very suspicious about Kitty Alfred and what he'll actually turn out to be.

Gah, I love the Kuberts, but Andy's writing reads like bad fanfiction, and it kind of feels to me like DC did this to prove why they shouldn't keep Damian around: Because it would lead to terrible, terrible stories that combine a hodge podge of nonsense in the hopes that people will dismiss flaws because it's "Morrisonian" (even though I love it when Grant gets cray cray).

I don't mind Alfred's in a cat body. After all, still better than being dead, I would miss Alfred just way much, Batfamily isn't Batfamily without him, no matter how much things are messed up, imho he should be there. It's bit 'strange' arrangement for sure, though by far not the strangest thing in the DC universe, so not so unwelcome.

As to the rest of the story, Damian's struggles are... something I'll keep reading on for the interest's sake, but I'd still rather see child-Damian's dealing with life than all the 'Robin!Damian is killed off only to be seen in one of the possible futures as Adult!Damian' things. I miss Robin, this isn't placating.
