As much as I loved Wil Huygen & Rien Poortvliet's Gnomes, I have to agree with you. ursulav's garden gnome is far more believable.

This is still really faux-Doctor-Who (and I'm getting many "Carlie Cooper" and "Rose Tyler" vibes from ladybird girl, which is a terrible thing to be getting from anyone), but thank Grodd we've got Allred to mostly balance it out and make it fun.

I'd spend money on this if he were writing/drawing solo, or if some of the old FF team got involved - Lee Allred for instance, he's fun - I'd be willing to spend money on it.

But I'm not giving anything to Slott.

Rose Tyler I can see, but we're not being told how awesome she is every other line of dialogue, so I'd say she's well ahead of Carlie.

I want to know what Infinity thinks personally since she's also Eternity and Eternity is also her.

Writers treating Eternity as an actual male being instead of just an abstract concept divided and packaged for easy viewing by lesser beings bugs me.

So I'll just tell myself that this is just an M body made up of really romantic fractals.

A couple summers ago I ended up watching the entire series of the Silver Surfer cartoon while at work (not of my own choosing) and I started joking with one of the other guys there that I wished other things of mine worked like the board.

This actually seems like a fun, non-enraging comic with Dan Slott's name on it. Man, is Spider-Man the guy's kryptoite or something? Everything else I've read from him ranges from decent to good, but his Spider-Man writing is consistently awful.
