My first commissioned art by the talented Mitch Ballard!

I wanted a fun & sexy piece featuring my favorite Titan couples from the New Teen Titans era. Preferably with them half naked:) the guys would be shirtless while the girls wear their shirts. Mitch came up with the wonderful concept of them doing laundry. He even added Gar & Vic!

Hi icon_uk! Yup, this piece is mine. Glad you like it. Who would have thought my very first commissioned art would feature shirtless superheroes? lol

And now that I have one, I feel like I need to have more! The ideas keep on coming. Maybe I'll make this into a series with different artists drawing different teams during their downtime. Maybe I'll stick to the half naked theme. Can you suggest any other artists who wouldn't mind depicting such scenarios?

And whilst I wouldn't go so far as to say that collectiong commissions can become addictive.... actually yes I WOULD go so far as to suggest that.

I've found most art pro's I've spoken to to be very open to even my tastes, so some minor shirtlessness isn't like to phaze any of them.

Based on work I've seen I'd recommend the likes of Marcus To, George Perez (natch), both of whom thoroughly enjoy depicting the male form as much as the female, and Marcus certainly seems to have no problem with a bit of gentle slash thrown in.

Oh, and Joe Phillips, who you'd probably have to convince to draw a shirt on a good looking guy if the alternative was even rmeotely an option.

I wanted to get a piece by Marcus To too, but sadly he not accepting commissions right now. Plus, it may be a little to expensive for me. Art by George Perez would be a dream come true! I love the stuff he's done for you. I used to like Joe Phillips art, but recently I think he relies too much on photo references that I don't think they even look like the characters anymore.

I'm gonna have to check out your awesome(!) Robin The Boy Hostage gallery to see which artists are willing to do kinky stuff :)

I wouldn't view shirtless heroes as being notably kinky, certainly a lot less weird than my own preferences, so I wouldn't think any artist worth their salt would turn down a commission based on shirtlessness. They might actually find it a relief to draw a bloke without their shirt on rather than the 200 requests they get per convention for a topless Power Girl. :)

Yeah, Marcus To never comes to the UK and doesn't seem to do mail order commissions so he's still on my "To get" list.

Aww, Kory wearing Dick's costume! Very nice. And the rest of the sketch is such a visual feast! This is my favorite era of the Titans, so it's fun to see them having fun. :)

Yeah, it's my fave too. I'm forever bitter that this is not canon anymore. So may friendships... gone. But at least we will always have this era. And I love fun, sexy & cute the all look in this.

Well, the way I look at it is the current canon is just a sad Elseworld, and I use the past era I like for my own headcanon. Dick knowing everyone in the DCU just fits his personality! :)

After all, everyone knows that Kory doesn't wear bras except at the pool! ;)

(My headcanon is that she keeps the girls restrained in that original outfit by always using her flight power to control their movement, even when she's on the ground...)

I think your fanon is totally plausible. How else can she keep those weapons of mass distraction contained without any visible support. Superpowers were involved, obviously! lol

And here I thought people would find Donna's anachronistic smartphone to be the most inaccurate thing on this. :)

It's not a smartphone, it's... umm... it's an Amazonian SmartSlate, which creates engravings in small slabs of stone. Not much battery life, but the hardcopy output is second to none.

(The Amazons of this version of the DCU were the super-high tech kind, with Purple Rays and other stuff)

Ha! I recently caught the Teen Titans Go! episode with this theme while in the waiting room at my dentist's office, and wished they could have done it as a comics story. Great!
