Jonah shot Norman Osborn but as you can see, that doesn't go over well.

Really hope this is a red herring because otherwise what a huge waste.

Anyway, back with Peter, Miles and MJ, Peter tells Miles how he woke up in a lab not knowing what had happened to him.

The Green Goblin returns to crash the party and Miles once again easily takes him out with his venom blast (really, this is starting to get annoying... at least come up with a villain who is immune to this as Miles has used it to defeat every single villain he has come up across), reverting him back to Norman Osborn. Osborn tells him he's making a mistake, and tells him that without him he will never know how he got his powers... or who his father really is. To be continued...

I don't mind Miles being able to defeat the Green Goblin with his venom blast. Osborn poses a real threat to Peter. I'm glad Miles can do away with him. I agree they should come up with a villain who is immune to it though.

Honestly, I'm tired of a good guy not using a weapon he knows has worked in the past, just so the writer can add some variety.

It's like wondering on btvs, why we never see Buffy use the trollhammer again after using it to take down Glory. Or where that rocketlauncher she used in s2 went off to when she was facing Adam.

Complaining about the venomblast, is like complaining about Castle using guns, or Cap using his shield; It works, so why not use it.

Or 616-Peter not using his powers from "The Other".

I thought the hammer Buffy used was just a hammer from the construction site. I must not've payed good attention.

I did wonder why she didn't use the rocket launcher when facing exceptionally big villains, but I can imagine a rocket launcher is something not to be used often.

Suspect the scoobies might have had a hard time keeping up a supply of ammo for it without attracting attention!

Didn't Buffy actually show up with the Rocket Launcher in the last Season while she was delusional, intending to use it to kill the new principal in a comedy bit?

Yeah. Xander & Spike run up & tackle her off screen, only to then run in the opposite direction a few seconds later.

It took a terrified Anya to tell the Scoobies the plan they were going to use to kill Glory would just piss her off. She pointed out the items in the Magic Shop that they needed just to hurt Glory (in a way that was pure Anya-sarcasm). She just let them know that they had crappy odds even with the Troll King Hammer. It took an F'n wrecking ball too! Oh yeah, Buffy still died killing Glory.

D'awww... that entire second scene is just full of feels for me.

That first one though... no, not Ultimate Jonah! I hope it's a fake-out too...

I'm curious what's gonna happen with Peter Parker now, it could be neat to see him in a mentor role, but at the same time, given his high profile and Bendis' obvious affection for the character, I worry that this could be the beginning of the end for Miles Morales as Spider-Man. It's always felt like the novelty of Miles Morales wore off pretty quickly for Bendis, and I don't think he seems all that interested in the character anymore. And as much as I think Ultimate Peter Parker was and is pretty great, switching things back might be a step in the wrong direction.

That said, Peter actually being able to walk away from being Spider-Man is interesting, because Clone Saga and Ben Reilly notwithstanding, that's not something I could ever really buy the 616 version doing, so it'll be interesting to see how else the character has changed.

"It could be neat to see him in a mentor role"

This would be the most probable thing. It'd be nice to see him be Miles' personal Uncle Ben, although it'd be hard for him since like all of New York knows who he is, right?

Irritation with the usage of venom blasts in Miles' fights: at least one reason to like Ultimate Taskmaster.

CALLED IT.

Also, how old is Miles now? He looks about normal person height in that last panel, he must have hit his growth spurt.

I love that in that aunt may panel it looks like she can't decide if she is going to Cap' slap him or hug him. . Then decides on hug. I have a feeling though she will milk it. "L

May: Peter can you take the trash out.
Peter: but aunt may! The lizard is attacking.
May: I'm sure miles can handle him.
Peter: but-
may: remember that time you made us think you were dead?
Peter:... fine.

I don't think the Venom Blast is annoying ,especially not in this issue. They showed that Osborn is especially vulnerable to the Venom Blast. more so than anyone else.

After all, the Venom Blast just knocks out everyone else, but it straight up depowers Osborn.
