(Speaking of non-indicative covers...)
5 out of 17 pages, behind the cut.

Vader realizes that the station is not made to battle individual ships like this and scrambles the fighters.

Luke reminisces about Han Solo and Chewbacca while saving Biggs life. The Rebels suffer some heavy losses, Vader himself killing destroying multiple fighters, including RedBlue Leader. (Such a good friend.)

(That's... actually pretty accurate there, Luke. Huh.)

Biggs gets killed by Darth Vader, leaving only Wedge and Luke to run the trench.

What was it Luke said to Biggs, a short eternity ago?
"You'll always be the best friend I've got."

(Did Vader just say "By the Immortal Gods of the Sith"? That's a new one.)

It turn out that Han Solo and Chewbacca came back to help the Rebels. Using the element of surprise, they strike one of Vader's companions ships, sending Vader's craft hurling out into space.

And then... well, the Deathstar gets destroyed by Luke, everyone aboard is killed, there's a ceremony, medals are given (even to Chewbacca!). Standard Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope stuff.

NEXT: Han Solo's adventures trough SPACE!

I was 12 when I first saw the movie, and Han's return was one of the biggest mark out moments ever.

This is what I'm referring to in terms of Han making a personal journey, and why it's important that he shot Greedo first. Otherwise, this moment gets watered down. At least, that's my opinion.

Can't wait for the next installment. I love the next adventure.

Nice that Chewie got a medal in the comic.

Out of all the changes, the X-Wing squadron being "Blue" instead of "Red" somehow seems the strangest.

I also do wish that the movie had kept in the shots of the female X-Wing pilots, especially as the fact that at least one of them was quite old, suggesting that the Rebels were actually a much more varied and desperate, disparate bunch than the movie ever got into, with the undercurrent that they were so desperate that they'd take any pilots they could get, no matter how old, how unfit (Porkins comes to mind) or completely naive (Luke, who had never once flown an X-Wing before).
