Look what I found on Twitter!

It seems the Daredevil Netflix series will borrow a bit from DAREDEVIL: YELLOW, which has made its way into Daredevil continuity.

Some panels from the first issue of DAREDEVIL: YELLOW by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale

There also was a page where Matt talks to Slade, and Slade says he didn't do anything "wrong" by killing Jack Murdock. Murdock was supposed to throw the fight, he didn't, so he's dead.

From the DARK REIGN: LETHAL LEGION miniseries by Frank Tieri:

From Carmine Di Giandomenico and Zeb Wells’s DAREDEVIL: BATTLIN' JACK MURDOCK miniseries. This ended with the intriguing idea that Jack only decided to not throw the fight after realizing Matt can "handle himself." Maybe he though Sweeny and Slade would kill Matt too if he didn't throw the fight.

EDIT: In case you are wondering, the "She" Jack is talking about is Josie, a waitress he is dating. After Jack wins the fight, Josie tells Jack she's won so much money, she can buy the bar she works at. So Jack Murdock dated the Josie of Josie's Bar.

Well -that's- intriguing, since Creel has already shown up in MCU....

Creel shows up in the first two episodes of the current season of agents of shield.

Speaking of which there hasn't been any casting for matt's dad for Daredevil.

I suspect that this take on Creel would probably fit right in with the Central City Rogues, an unapologetic "blue collar" career criminal, who has certain self-imposed moral limits as to what he would or would not do, and is content with that.

I really like the Jack Murdock stuff in Daredevil's origin, it's one of the few prologues to superheroism that I think is interesting just as its own story. I'd actually never realized before that Murdock's opponent was supposed to be the Absorbing Man before he got his powers, which feels a little small world-y to me.
