NIGHTWING #115:

I thought I would post a few pages from NIGHTWING #115, where Nightwing (in his guise of Renegade) tried to teach Rose Wilson that, surprise surprise, Superman is a good guy.







And then Ravager rips off her mask, revealing she has Kryptonite in her eye-socket, and jumps at Superman.





A fire starts.







Dick leaves the glove behind that disguised his heartbeat, making Superman smile. He also points out to Rose that Kryptonite is also dangerous to humans, and Deathstroke knows this. It turns out this was Dick's plan showing Rose how messed up her father really is, and keeping super-villains out of Bludhaven.

This is part of INFINITE CRISIS, although not labeled as such. Between this issue and the next, Deathstroke drops Chemo on Bludhaven, destroying most of it. This shows that no matter how professional Deathstroke says he is, Slade Wilson is a petty, petty man.

Deathstroke destroying Bludhaven over this was just such a crappily bad plot point. Will never quite be able to forgive DC for what they did to Slade as a character (Evil, yes, but a practical mercenary and not inhuman)

I do wonder how much of this story arc was changed because I know that 114 originally had a different plot involving Luthor and the Society.

Yea. And the 'Dick does a gambit to keep supervils out of Bludhaven' plot was actually pretty cool.

Any Clark/Dick interaction is always a delight in my book! Especially when it's Fanboy Dick to the rescue! ;)

Nice that Dick called Clark 'Kal-El' to keep his secret identity safe. *sigh* Whatta guy! :)

I like how Rose's body language in the second to last panel really emotes "... I feel like a total asshole now."
