Geoff Johns: "And I have to say, the reaction to what we've been doing with Diana, I'm very, very grateful that the hardcore Wonder Woman fans have responded to it, because we're putting everything we have into it. We're very lucky that we get to work with this character. I really appreciate the nuance and complexity of Diana. I feel really good about Jay and I pulling those out and looking at those and realizing them and shining a light on them and saying, "Look how amazing and powerful and wonderful this character is." There's a reason she's so unique among every DC comic."

Okay, that was actually a pretty great small moment that somehow manages to capture one more thing that sets Bruce apart from the others.

I guess the only thing that slightly bothered me is that the question for Diana, Hal and Arthur was exactly the same as I would have preferred a little more personal variability, but still loved it.

It might be referring to how Bats and Supes have journeys that are more...metaphysical than the rest of the league who are looking for understanding.

No, I understood that and they were nice moments, but I would have liked something similar for the other members of the League.

Like "Do I belong there?" for Orin, "How can I get there?" for Hal?

Yeah, exactly like that. Either all of them should ask the same question or all of them should have a personal question that ultimately reflects who they are.

Entirely agreed. It's a great idea of a scene marred by the most niggling yet potent of writing problems. A shame the formatting is identical, too. Just changes of inflection and emphasis would make so much difference.

Looking at the scene again, I am actually amused that the thing that really damages it is how good Bruce's section is, as once you look at that, you realize how much the questions for Hal and Orin don't work. That question really only works for Diana in this context.

One other thing I love about the Bruce scene is that he doesn't ask, he makes statement. While all the others are imagining all the wonders out there, he knows the horrors waiting in the shadows.

Okay, i know what Bruce means, but i can't stop thinking he is saying his parent's murdered is on outer space for some reason.

Murdered in outer space.....by aliens!

Didn't a Predator kill Thomas and Martha Wayne in one of the Batman VS Predator crossovers?

Don't the Predators only kill those whom provide decent sport, hence why they don't hunt innocents or those who can't fight (like Cantrell and the kid with the NERF gun in Predator 2, or the scientists in AVP)?

I believe the general rule is much like big game hunters; they won't attack the pregnant (because you're culling the herd too much) as we saw in Predator 2 the weak or the old (unless they somehow present a serious and immediatte threat)

And oh lord now I'm remembering the maternity wing scene in AVP and I'll be feeling nauesous for hours. (I know that was Xenomorphs rather than Predators, but I don't care.

It appears we are well over the limit for scans from Justice League 41.

You posted 12 pages here (As this was also the day of release, we Mods should have caught and requested pages be removed from at the time as the 4 page rule applies for new comics, as we have discussed numerous times)

You posted another 4 pages the following week .

And these 2 bring us to 18 pages in total, which even allowing for it being a 48 pae comic, is over the 1/3 rule which would allow for a total of 16 maximum

As such these pages should be removed immediately. We would ask that the thread not be deleted as it has comments on it, but the pages be excised from the post.

We would remind you to please keep within the "4 page" and "1/3 of a story" rules at all times.

Why not just omit pages from previous posts?

It would hardly be within the spirt of Scans_Daily to create a rolling cycle of post, delete and post some more.

Comm members have seen and responded to the earlier scans as they were posted for some time now. To delete earlier pages just so new ones can be justified is skirting around the 1/3 rule in a way that is too much like cheating.

I will never stop being fascinated by this. Is there more investigation of and documentation on this somewhere?

Someone here first told me the tale of scans daily and the one named Peter David. I was instantly enthralled. I googled it obviously. A couple articles, a lot of stuff on forums, scans_daily's own rules as well as things from a few generously forthcoming mods and members of the time. I think I've read it all. But none of it paints the full picture. There are gaps. Some part of it seems buried, lost. I want to see behind the curtains on all sides. Scans daily, LiveJournal, Peter David, Marvel. I want to see a legal expert talk about it. Perspectives, opinions, from insiders. I want to see the e-mails (not just selected portions). A timeline. All of it. I think it asks questions about a lot of larger shifts since the dawn of the age of information. I would watch a documentary about this. I would almost make a documentary about this. I'm aware that I'm way more fascinated by this than a normal human.
