Eh, Ennis, this whole "build up a character for everyone to hate and then give him awful comeuppance" shtick gets tired after a while. Also, when the story is this predictable it loses its entertainment value, I find...

Also also - may I be the first to express my profound disappointment that the Deinonychus' are depicted on the cover as being intelligent and (somewhat) feathered, and in the actual story they're a bunch of stupid loud bald Jurassic-Park-style "Raptors".

The other Secret Wars series I've seen and read have all been based on established characters in odd situations, so we've got Wild West Avengers, martial arts New Mutants and the like... I don't recognise anyone here.

The main character's obnoxiousness is more tedious than novel, but "I convinced them you were a half-wfit... No, don't be so modest, you did most of the work" may be one of the best put downs I've read in a while.

The Phantom Eagle is a very, very obscure Marvel character, and I think the amazons are supposed to be Shana.
