This is from Thor Annual #19, by Roy Thomas and Jerry DeCaire.

The story takes place during the period when Loki's spirit was trapped in Mephisto's realm.

Pluto sends Hrinmeer, the Light Elf/Fire Demon hybrid known as the Flame, to kill Thor, giving him the three-headed dog Cerberus as his steed.

The Flame and Cerberus attack Thor. Thor is able to hold his own, until the Flame slashes him with his sword dipped in poison from Cerberus's fangs.

Thor is able to break free and defeat Cerberus.

With Loki gone, Thor is able to defeat the Flame.

Huh, I wonder if there's a connection between Hrinmeer and H'ronmeer, DC's Martian god of death and fire.

So what happen to Sigyn and Loki's other wife after Ragnarok?

I'm a bit baffled that Sigyn is usually portrayed as so deeply in love with Loki, when Loki tricked her into marrying him after murdering her boyfriend.

Anyway. I do love how Thor here doesn't say "only a coward would hurt a woman" but specifically "only a coward would hurt an unarmed woman with no military training."
