The only problem I have with this is that I would have expected Dick to know/remember that Luke Fox is/was Batwing, (and I thought Luke also would have remembered that Dick was Nightwing, since that was publicly revealed in Forever Evil) but the way it comes off here, they barely know or recognize one another.

Man, sometimes it feels like the Bat-clan is too compartmentalized!

Dick worked a time or two with the previous Batwing, David Zavimbe, I don't think he ever worked with Luke's iteration, he might not even know that Luke IS Batwing.

I really don't care for the fact that Dick seems not to give two tugs about Barbra already being in a relationship.

Man did this issue and the last bring the Internet ugliness out of people. The comment sections of Batman-News and IGN were nasty (though BN reviews were particularly hateful).

Yes, that is NOT a nice review on BN, I refuse to read the comments... I learned my lesson about that a long time ago... except on scans_daily of course! :)

Have to say, not impressed by Dick here, no matter how adorably looking though he is drawn.

Gatecrashing a major social event in public just to talk to Barbara doesn't feel right, especially when they've already had a conversation since hsi return. He's coming across as thoughtless and needy, and completely ignoring what should be the obvious signs between Barbara and Luke.

And yes, the former Robin/Nightwing talking to Batgirl in the presence of Batwing... nobody comes out looking particularly good here.

It's a good scene with Dick and Babs, but it also feels like it's being done to pander.

(Pandering's not necessarily bad, but it is irritating when it feels blatant.)

I got that feeling as well. I guess the Dick/Babs thing is so ingrained by now that the writers feel that the signal must be given that one half will be permitted a new relationship by getting the other half's if not blessing, then acquiescence. (I only picked the issue up for Dick, though, as the adventures of Barbara Gordon: Wedding Planner was too Lifetime movie for me.)
