Robin: Son of Batman #1
Nov. 9th, 2015 02:27 pm
"When Grant Morrison first wrote young Damian, he was being thrown into his father's lap by his mother Talia Al Ghul. We saw a little boy assassin on a journey that eventually led to him taking his first steps away from his old life and down the narrow path that Pete and I tackled as he was becoming the Alpha and Omega of Robins.
Now the question is, where does he go from here? In #1, Damian finds himself at a new precipice, and he has to make the choice to step out on his own and risk the unknown yet again. Only now he has his father's voice, and others, ringing in his ears.
Damian is on the next leg of his journey to find out what his future holds and whose legacy he'll ultimately inherit." - Patrick Gleason

Then over in the depths of Gotham Harbor...

"Daddy."
Elsewhere, Damian heads over to Al Ghul Island to answer that call he got...

Damian reaches for the door, but stops himself and goes off to find where Goliath flew off to (which you can read here if you want).
Anyways, he eventually rescues the creature, but ends up passing out when they fly away. While he is passed out, he has a dream with him in front of his and Talia's graves.

"...I have to try."
With that Damian returns to that room from before and opens it up...

More later...

Oh, and Henri Ducard (who helped train Bruce years before) had another identity as "Nobody", a super-stealth armour wearing assassin. He tried to recruit Damian, and died in the process. now his daughter has taken on the name and the armour. She ends up accompanying Damian on his mission.

No, no he really wasn't, he was becoming the most recent Robin, but let's not go overboard here.
"The Alpha and Omega" is a very specific term referring to Christ in the Book of Revelation... and Damian is NOT the Messiah ("He's a very naughty boy!".... sorry, couldn't resist)
If anything, Damian was becoming the Delta of Robins (The Epsilon if you count Steph)
Marvel seems to think Damian is the Bat Messiah.
