Carol has asked Lila Cheney to bring her back to Earth for a limited engagement.








Carol is kidnapped by Grace Valentine, who is also holding a costumed Santa... Eventually they break free after learning that there's some bombs planted throughout the city.

Which leads to this perhaps the most badass Christmas panel ever drawn...

I confess I groaned a little at the title! :)

As much as I'm sure the new book will be good, I'm honestly going to miss DeConnick working on Carol, especially alongside Lopez, who was just such a great artist. They actually got me into Carol as a character - I was left kind-of cold by the previous Ms Marvel book where I got the feeling that Reed as a writer was more interested in everyone but Carol - and this just had a lot of heart.

Oh I agree, this book was definitely among my favourites while it was being published, and I'd love to see this team tackle her again.

That said, I'm really looking forward to the new book as well, since it seems like it's going to be Basically Babylon 5 if Sheriden had super powers.
