okay, this book loses points on the basis of not using Circe as the scientist.

It's as though the creators really wanted to do a straight adaptation but couldn't get anyone except DC - with the caveat that it be a JLA book - to take them on.

That one beast-man reminds me of the story that Marlon Brando wanted to end the film of the same name by taking off his hat and revealing, via a blowhole, that Moreau was a dolphin the entire time.

Well, now that you posted this I'm sure Cheetah-Flash and Gorilla-Wonder Woman are gonna be getting piles of fan art.

Was there a reference to Dr. Anton Arcane and his Un-Men? Because there really should be.

Though that might be more fitting for a Frankenstein-themed story.
