...this didn't come out the same year as "American Horror Story" Season 2, did it?

So, half starfish huh?

Kind of a weird choice, but hey whatever works right?

An effective reinvention of a man you could jestingly call Doctor Dorkass.

Rather odd story, this.

Songbird and Dorcas had never met before this, he vaguely enhances her powers but not really and we have yet another random resurrection

Though granted, this re-imagining of the Doc is pretty cool/creepy.

Looks good. I've always liked Songbird (and MACH V), but stopped reading their comics because I hated Civil War and Norman Osborne more.

And as a fan of House Escher and the like, I love her look here. Punk-ish hairstyle + awesome mantle + bikini top = much love.

Well, that answers the questions we had about Songbirds powers back in the New Avenger post the other week.

Also, Doc. She's a superhero. You decided to give her a power up. I'm fascinated by your inability to recognize what would happen.

In all fairness, he's not alone - "Bad guy imprisons someone with enhanced abilities and then is very surprised when they use those abilities to break out and beat him up" is pretty much Iron Man's origin story.

Yeah, but at the same time, Tony wasn't an established superhero with years of experience in taking down bad guys, and his captor wasn't a crazy obsessed stalker that wanted to make Tony more powerful. He was just careless about leaving guards to keep a personal eye on Tony. The good Doctor here had plenty of horror stories to learn from at this point :)

True, but two things:

Dorcas is...well, let's say he's not exactly a conventional thinker? He made himself a starfish hybrid BEFORE he was crushed by Tiger Shark, so I'd wager his decision making skills were not exactly top notch THEN and probably less so afterwards.

Second, Tony also didn't have a history of having been a supervillain with a history of contract work. Dorcas clearly though that he was dealing with secondary character Screaming Mimi, not full-on protagonist Songbird.
