We can fix that!

Lex has been honest with Clark up to that point. This Lex couldn't even have murdering Clark on his conscience and finish the job when he had Clark in Doomsday's grasp. Lex helped stop Bizarro and Clark thinks a clone made my Lex would be more perfect.

I can believe it although Injustice Superman should not be THAT dumb.

I think that was an earlier clone and it got destroyed. Then Lex made the Bizarro clone without telling Clark, and lied to Clark, saying he hadn't made another clone and this must be something else.
