Ulysses had a vision in which Nico killed a person named "Alice". Carol tried to play it off as it probably being amisunderstanding... but then Dazzler tells Nico the truth that Carol wanted to arrest her.
Carol told Nico to trust her, that Nico would be safe while she solved this mess but that pissed Nico even more because her experience as a Runaway had involved people she trusted betraying her and killing her friends. so she ran away.
I don't remember Elsa ever having lost a hand... unless that was something established in the Secret Wars series and kept over when they remade the universe.
Also, it is so disconcerting to see how much she's changed since her initial miniseries and how much of it was Warren Ellis' fault.
The Marvel Zombies mini during Secret Wars starred Elsa and the main villain was a version of her father who was collecting all of the Bloodstone gems from different iterations of Elsa and even Cullen from around Battleworld
She lost a hand fighting him but was able to build a new one out of some of the Bloodstones she stole from him.
Not really Ellis/Immonen's fault; the series was never intended to be in-continuity. Marvel just piggybacked the series' popularity with all the characters involved, even though they were doing things that didn't work in continuity in the slightest.
Also, really? The initial mini's take was a bland Not!Buffy who really had no purpose beyond cashing in on a certain series at a specific time; I don't think anything of value was lost there.
At least Al Ewing managed to work things so that the characters actually experienced all those stories even though they were patently at odds with the Marvel Universe's reality.
That's no longer canon and i don't think most people remember the Bloodstone miniseries. For the best, since she came off as a Buffy clone in that book.
It has since been established that she is an adult, she's certainly old enough to drink, and that her father did train her and that he was a dick to her and her brother.
This. For all intents and purposes, as much as the creators never intended it, Marvel basically sellotaped 'NEXTWAVE' over the existing characters once it proved popular.
Except Ellis typically works totally fine in canon, and I think he and Immonen had zero intention of slotting a Captain America telling Monica to 'go home and make his dinner' or 'supervillain Devil Dinosaur' into canon. And no, interviews around the time confirmed they didn't want it in the Marvel Universe fully, from what I remember seeing, and then Marvel editorial basically took it and used it, despite that not being the intent at all. It caused a headache in some of the handbooks that came out around the same time, simply because a lot of fans thought it hadn't been canon.

And she had no training until moving in her dad's house after he died.
And Adam(Frankeinstein monster) gave her the bloodstone.
