Merry Men's Guy of Gisbourne's an engaging villain.

Last month's issue #2 established both those qualities of his.

It had him explained by Robin of Sherwood in flashback, then had his handiwork delivered in the present.

This week's #3 picked up there.



Guy appeared on-page in the present day, having captured from Robin's band the tanner Arthur-a-Bland.

To him he explained himself further, continuing from Robin having exposed his crimes in the Holy Land.



The prince asked Guy if he hated the king.

Guy said yes.



(Gisbourne's exploits in the Holy Land ran to murder and mutilation.)



(He's not subtle with his innuendo.)

While Guy inflicted tortures mental and physical on Arthur, Robin and friends followed his trail..

.. and fell into his trap.



(That is the face of a man who's caught his enemy in a load-bearing contrivance.)

The print is a touch difficult to read but did Guy just Buffalo Bill that one dude?

That "falling behind the cracks" thing feels anachronistic: It seems to imply a more modern type of bureaucracy.
